The traditional Alte Messe flea market not far from the Monument to the Battle of the Nations is considered the little brother of the Agra antiques market in Markkleeberg.
Once a month from March to November, flea market fans have the opportunity to indulge their collector’s lust on the grounds of the old Leipzig Exhibition Center. Every 1st Sunday, the oldest treasures of Leipzig’s junk and antique dealers gather here to find a new home.
With between 100 and 200 traders regularly setting up their stalls not far from the unmistakable “Doppel-M” (the landmark of the old Leipzig exhibition grounds), the market is a real treasure trove for culture and junk lovers every month.
An insider tip, because this is precisely why the market is also worth a visit for professional buyers.
